1985 Pacifc P16 150 Ton TruckThis 1985 Pacific P16 Off Road Truck is a frame off restoration with many modifications. This truck was the one of two Pacific trucks custom built for a logging company on Vancouver Island able to haul 150 tons.
It is equipped with a Caterpillar C15 Diesel Engine with 550 HP, pared with a CLBT 6061 Allison Automatic transmission. Many new components include a new alternator and starter, fan hub, Vulkan coupling drive line, charge air and transmission oil coolers, all new drive lines, compressor valves, and tanks. The radiator is reconditioned and has all new rad hoses. The new steering rack includes all new ball studs, rod ends, front springs, and torque rod bushings. New Clark brakes have been installed all around. The front axles are Rockwell FU 910, and the rear differential is the largest Clark model, BD121-000. The gear ratio is 13.267. The rear suspension is outfitted with new trunnion shaft and trunnion bushings.
The frame has a triple reinforced chair. The 4 1/2 ” 5th wheel has a 22″ lift with new pins bushings and cylinder. The PTO Pump is also new.
The rebuilt cab has been centre mounted for better all around visibility. Inside you will find a completely refinished interior with new floor, new seats, new upholstery on the ceiling and doors of the cab and a custom fabricated stainless steel dash board. The glass is new all around as is the are the gauges, air controls and pedals. New air conditioning components will keep the driver cool in warmer temperatures.
Behind the cab is a custom built aluminium bulk head featuring storage options. All around the cab and engine is a custom built deck with an integrated staircase for easy access to the cab, bulk head storage and engine. The front and rear fenders are custom fabricated steel. All 10 tires are new Bridgestone Tubeless Extra tread 14.00R25
